In March we see the first crocus blooming in the meadows. A filigree, popular plant that can be found everywhere in parks and gardens as an early bloomer.
The most famous crocus is saffron. This ornamental plant with purple flowers has long been used as a spice for dishes such as risotto, paella or bouillabaisse.
A tart, hot spice that colors dishes intensely golden yellow.
