When summer is in full swing across Europe, open-air festivals take place in the cities as well in the countrysides.
Some festivals take place in one quiet street in a neighbourhood lined up with stalls and vendors, nestled between big old oak trees and fields of grain. Little decorative things and plants are presented in a bazaar atmosphere. Around every corner live music stages and street performances can be enjoyed.
In small booths grandmothers are selling food specials recooked after old recipes.
Not far away there is a stall with home-made ice cream.
