September and the dandelions

As wildflowers dandelions are scattered nature in the beginning of Spring.
Their bright yellow colours decorate meadows and landscapes.

Later on blow-balls are driven by wind to disperse in nature, spreading around dandelion seeds.
Some cuisines collect dandelion flowers and turn them into jelly. The leaves on the other hand, are added to hearty salads or made into tea.

Did you know, that according to NDR, tyres can be made out of dandelion rubber, too?
The rubber is extracted from the roots of the plant.

Heather Babcock wrote: “Dandelions are just friendly little weeds who only want to be loved like flowers.”
